11月10日にMicrosoft ResearchのDr. Jane Chu Prey氏にお会いして、お話しをうかがいました。
その時、The Impact of Tablet PCs and Pen-based Technology on Education(教育におけるタブレットPCとペン・ベースド・テクノロジーの衝撃)という本をいただきました。
出版は、Purdue University Press です。
今年4月に研究者たちが集まり、おたがいの成果を発表しあいました。その抜粋をJane C. Prey さんご自身と、 A.Berque さんと Robert H. Reed さんが編集者となって出版されたようです。
とても興味あるタイトルだったので、少し読んでみました。
タブレットのPCおよびペンベースの技術は、初等中等教育(K12)および大学等の高等教育で衝撃的な成果を得つつあります。教育にタブレットPCと手書きの技術がいかに有効であるかが、多くの研究と実践を通じて示されています。
